There is nothing better after a long day than just to hop into a nice warm bath. What’s even better, is to know that relaxing this way is not only for our physical, but also mental health. The warm water relaxes the body and releases the toxins brought upon it by tension.
Prepare yourself for a full night’s rest. With the addition of epsom salt in your bath, it has been proven to help reduce inflammation in stiff joints, treat dry skin and muscle pain. It will also produce the feelings of comfort and easiness that will create a kind of security that lets your mind and body to relax.
Epsom salt contains magnesium which is essential for our well-being and sulfates that eliminate toxins from our body.
Here is a recipe I found to be a great way to help reduce the stress generated throughout the day.
- 2 cups of epsom salt
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 15-20 drops of lavender essential oils
Soak your entire body for at least 20 minutes. It is not recommended to stay in the bath for more than 40 minutes due to epsom salt’s laxative effect.
You can also try a foot soak to create an amazing relaxing experience.
